Bamboo Round Stick Making Machines

Bamboo round sticks are used for making incense sticks or agarbatti sticks. Apart from these usage round sticks are used for making toothpicks, blinds, furniture, skewers, kebab sticks, barbeque sticks and various other usage like handicrafts. With the increase in labour costs and scarcity of the same industries are taking up electrical coating machines to achieve the production with minimum number of labors.

Production process for Bamboo stick making:
1.    Bamboo cutting

2.    Bamboo Splitting Manual or electrical

3.     Bamboo knot cleaning internal and external process

4.      Bamboo slicing: To make strips

5.     Bamboo round stick machine

6.   Bamboo stick sizing machine

7.   Bamboo polishing machine

After the process we can coat the sticks using automatic or semi automatic machines.

Intermediate processing are treatment of slices and drying of sticks or slices

These machines are available from Indian, Chinese and Taiwanese Suppliers but most do not understand the Bamboo and its working that is required for Indian Bamboos.

Few factors taken into consideration for designing of machines:

• Bamboos are not always like Moso
• Bamboos can be hard to slice at knots thus require heavy duty machine with higher accuracy and better machine building
• India has a power scarcity and many bamboo abundant places do not have very good power supply.
• Training and productivity of machines is utmost importance
• Machines should use high quality CNC Made tooling otherwise the sticks are not of good quality
